Apartment Overview

The property is a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment (sleeping 2 to 4 people) situated in a 17th century palazzo (once a library), located in the historical centre of Galatina, Puglia. It has been fully renovated and many original features have been saved and restored, including the hand-printed floor tiles, the beautiful vaulted ceilings, the balcony overlooking the cobbled streets, and the large private roof terraces with views across the town's church bell towers.

The apartment was featured on Channel 4's A Place in the Sun in the Spring of 2007, presented by Amanda Lamb.

Within less than a minutes walk in any direction you have a choice of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, shops (not forgetting the gelato ice cream shops) and fine examples of the beautiful churches the town is famous for.

The apartment has heating, air conditioning, DVD player and LCD projector (perfect for watching Cinema Paradiso on the roof terrace) and is fully furnished to a high standard. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all the other cooking utensils you'll need during your stay. Linen and towels are also included.

It should be noted that, as with many old properties in Italy, there are steep stone stairs and some low doorways. The private roof terraces have waist high walls and are very high up. Although this means spectacular views of Galatina and the surrounding area, this may not be suitable for young children.
