Location Overview

Galatina is ideally located in southern Puglia in the heart of the Salentine Peninsula, only 10 or 20 miles from the beautiful Ionian and Adriatic coastlines respectively. Not only is Galatina close to some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, but it is also only a short journey (by car or train) from the stunning regional capital, Lecce.

Puglia

Puglia is renowned for its fine cuisine, with a wealth of local organic produce, fresh sea food, and more olive oil than the rest of Italy combined. More recently, the wines of the area are also receiving the recognition they deserve.

The area has long been recognised by the Italians as a favoured holiday destination, as they flock during the summer months to the hot climate, the warm seas, the stunning beaches, and the relaxed way of life. The area is less known however to the foreign traveller, resulting in unspoilt natural beauty and a very italian lifestyle ... the dolce vita.
